Runnin' With The Wolfie?

Soundcheck audio of Wolfgang Van Halen singing has been posed online.

There has been debate over the past few years about whether or not Van Halen has been using tapes of their former bassist Michael Anthony singing background vocals in concert in place of his replacement Wolfgang Van Halen. Well, if their soundchecks are to be believed, then Wolfie is indeed singing. David Lee Roth doesn't do soundchecks, so it's Wolfie who leads his father -- Eddie Van Halen -- and uncle -- Alex Van Halen -- through the paces.

The Van Halen News Desk fan website has posted a video of them rehearsing "Unchained,” “Runnin’ With the Devil,” “She’s the Woman” and “Tattoo” in Greensboro, North Carolina and synched it to a monitor recording and you can clearly hear Wolfie doing his parts. Van Halen is off for the summer, but will be back out for a tour of Japan in November.
