In the first episode he visits Kō Restaurant in Maui, where he has a home, and mixologist Rachel makes him a Kō Pineapple Da Kari (Daquiri), of course using his Sammy's Beach Bar Rum. The recipe is:
- Run a wedge of lime around the rim of the glass and rim halfway around with natural brown sugar grains.
- Muddle roughly a two-inch square slice of fresh pineapple (slightly bruise it to aerate and get the juices out), two ounces of Sammy's Beach Bar Rum, juice from half of a fresh lime and one-ounce of simple syrup (sugar and water, although you can try substituting agave nectar).
- Shake with ice (around 20 shakes), strain and serve.
