Paul McCartney has probably crossed Leo Sayer off his Christmas card list with an axe. Sayer had some harsh criticisms of the ex-Beatle's performance at the Olympic Opening Ceremonies. He writes on Facebook, "Embarrassing. Hasn't anybody got the bottle to tell him, 'Mate sorry, we all love you, but the voice is gone."

Sayer also compared Sir Paul's performance to that of British artist Emili Sande [pr: EM-ill-ee san-DAY], who like McCartney, accepted just a token payment for her appearance. "In the case of Emile Sande, they should've given her a decent fee... In the case of McCartney, they certainly got their money's worth, didn't they?"
