TED NUGENT: This Time He Went Too Far

Ted Nugent's bashing of President Obama has gone too far, according to the Secret Service, which has agents flying to Oklahoma today to meet with the Motor City Madman prior to his show in Ardmore. During an interview on Saturday at the National Rifle Association meetings in St. Louis, Nugent said, "If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year." But Nugent isn't worried about his meeting, saying, "They have a duty," adding that he has "never threatened anybody's life in my life. I don't waste my breath threatening. The conclusion will be obvious that I threatened no one."

Last Saturday's rant against Obama was not the first time Nugent expressed his displeasure with the administration. Among his more memorable rants:

  • "[Obama is an] absolute, America-hating punk."
  • "It's we the people [who are to blame] for bending over and letting the punk [Obama] in the door...
  • "I think that Barack Hussein Obama should be put in jail. It is clear that Barack Hussein Obama is a communist."
  • "I get down on bended knee daily and pray to God that he does what he can to ensure President Obama fails. To repeat: I pray for President Obama to fail."
