ROD STEWART: Disclosures of Sex and Drugs in Upcoming Autobiography
Rod Stewart, bored with sex? That's one of the disclosures in Rod Stewart: The Autobiography, which goes on sale next week.
Stewart tells London's Daily Mail, "Women literally threw themselves at The Faces [because] we were cute and we were British. Me and Ronnie [Wood] just got tired of sex after a while, and we were only in our early 20s... Come to think of it, we always got more fun out of each other, me and Ronnie, than we did with the girls we were with."
Admitting he "got bored of not feeling affectionate towards girls," Rod says he "wanted to be in love... wanted something special." Apparently, when it came to eager-to-please female fans, there can be too much of a good thing.
And though he's done his share of drugs, Rod says he didn't want to become "a Keith Richards, or worse." Drug taking was "never on a daily basis, and never to the point where it was out of control. It was only ever purely social -- the occasional sniff sniff at a party. I stopped more than 10 years ago and yes, it was foolish. I was lucky."
