ROGER DALTREY: Literally the Shirt Off His Back
Roger Daltrey is auctioning off a shirt to benefit the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Roger Daltrey is auctioning off a shirt he wore on The Who's 1976 U.S. tour to raise money for his pet charity, the Teenage Cancer Trust. The green football jersey with white and yellow stripes on the shoulder has the words "Fillmore East" in yellow on the front.
The Fillmore East was promoter Bill Graham's small theater in New York in the late '60s and early '70s. The Who played there many times.
The auction ends on September 2nd and as of today (Friday), the bidding was just over $1,600.
