B.B. KING: The Suit Is On |

Apparently B.B. King doesn't want a film made about his life -- at least not now. Filmmaker Michael Zanetis is suing King, claiming B.B. is trying to stop the production of B.B. King and I because he says it violates his trademarks and publicity rights, as well as anti-cyber squatting laws. The film is about Zanetis's relationship with King. Zanetis says King helped get his career in the music industry off the ground, and he was instrumental in getting King a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The film is to star The Wire's Wendell Pierce and Patrick Fugit from Almost Famous. Source: Hollywood Reporter |
