GENE SIMMONS: Adios

The Rock 'n' Roll Allstars tour of South America has been scrapped. But the super-group -- featuring Gene Simmons; Def Leppard's Joe Elliott, former Guns n' Roses members Matt Sorum, Duff McKagan and Gilby Clarke; former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach; and former Deep Purple bassist Glen Hughes -- will play Friday in Lima, Peru. The canceled shows are in Ecuador, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala and Venezuela. The tour's promoter issued a statement saying, "An incredible effort was made to work with local promoters to bring our show to the fans, but they made it impossible for us to do so." The Allstars have played two shows -- in Paraguay and Argentina.
