Pete Townshend will receive the Les Paul Award at the 28th annual Technical Excellence and Creativity Awards on January 25th in Anaheim during the 2013 NAMM Show. Previous winners include Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson, Stevie Wonder, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Sting and Al Kooper.

Townshend has scheduled another public event in support of his memoir, Who I Am. He'll discuss the book and his life on the night of October 8th, the day it is published, at the main branch of the New York Public Library.
