BOB SEGER: Second Choice |
|
Bob Seger will perform "Turn the Page" when he's inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame on Thursday evening. He tells the Detroit Free Press that "Hollywood Nights" would have been his first choice, but event producer Phil Ramone told him that the smallish stage at New York's Marriott Marquis ballroom wasn't suited to his full band plus backup singers. Seger, who just turned 67, has plenty on his plate. He joined John Fogerty on an updated version of "Who'll Stop the Rain" for the CCR founder's upcoming duets CD. He's nearly finished with his own album, which he hopes to release this fall. And hot Australian sales of an Ultimate Hits compilation have him thinking about his first overseas tour in more than 30 years. |
