PAUL RODGERS: Singing Someone Else's Anthem
Paul Rodgers will sing the "Star Spangled Banner" before a New York Mets game.
Paul Rodgers is a citizen of both England and Canada, where he lives with his wife, Cynthia. He's stepping beyond national loyalties to sing America's "Star Spangled Banner" before the New York Mets - Washington Nationals game at New York's Citi Field on September 10th.
The game will be dedicated to a cause that is important to the Rodgers - horse welfare. Proceeds will go to raise awareness about the abuse, neglect and slaughter of horses.
All the proceeds from his latest release, "With Our Love," went to England's Racehorse Sanctuary and Rocking Horse Children's Charity, along with the Seraphim 12 Foundation in New York State.
