McDonald's in Australia is changing its name to Macca's for a promotion. Macca happens to be Paul McCartney's nickname and he's a vegetarian.

There probably aren't too many people who know that the non-meat eating Paul McCartney and the meat-pushing fast-food chain McDonald's, in Australia, share the same nickname -- Macca. But they do, which leads one to wonder what the cute Macca must think of Mickey D's Down Under temporarily changing its name to Macca's at select locations in celebration of Australia Day, which falls on January 26th. According to a national survey, "Macca's" is the second most recognized Australianism, just behind "footy" for Australian rules football.
