SAMMY HAGAR: May Be Waiting a Long Time

Sammy Hagar says the only way he would mend fences with Eddie Van Halen was if Eddie apologized. Sammy says, "He turned on me. I'm still disappointed that they have not reached out to be friends -- especially Alex [Van Halen], because Alex and I didn't have a problem... [Eddie] owes me an apology... What happened on that reunion tour in 2004 was some of the most miserable, back-stabbing, dark crap I've ever been involved with my whole life."

Hagar and Chickenfoot are down to the last two shows of their spring tour -- Saturday in Santa Barbara, California and Sunday in Los Angeles. Van Halen are in L.A. Saturday.

Hagar will receive the Voice of Rock award at Vegas Rocks magazine's third annual awards ceremony on August 26th at the Joint inside the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. --Sal Cirrincione
