Levon Helm's estate is trying to raise money to fulfill his dying wish to keep his home studio in Woodstock, New York going. Among the issues -- there is still a mortgage on the building. His manager, Barbara O'Brien, says, "One of the more immediate challenges is financial -- the need to generate income so that we can keep Levon's legacy moving forward."
Barbara and her team are selling T-shirts, which come with a digital download of "Drown in My Own Tears" that was going to appear on The Best of the Rambles: Volume Three. You can also have your name etched into a mosaic in the studio containing different guitar picks that will form the shape of Levon's mandolin.
Levon Helm died on April 19th from cancer. He was 71.
