Paul McCartney attended a Hamptons fundraiser supporting programs at New York's Apollo Theater over the weekend and used the occasion to take another crack at playing "Twist and Shout" with special guest accompaniment. While Bruce Springsteen wasn't on hand this time -- as he'd been last month in London's Hyde Park when the two were cut off before they could complete the performance -- Macca was joined by Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, Usher, Pharrell Williams, Jennifer Hudson and Ron and Ernie Isley of the song's originators, The Isley Brothers. Speaking about the Apollo, McCartney said that The Beatles might still be in Liverpool had it not been for the sounds that emerged from that Harlem showplace.
