BEATLES: Let It "Bean" in New Collage
An iconic Beatles picture has been re-created as a collage of food products.
An iconic Beatles picture has been re-created as a collage of food products. The British restaurant chain Beefeater Grill commissioned artist Paul Baker to turn the Abbey Road album cover -- the Fab Four crossing the "zebra stripes" -- into a work of art. He did, using breakfast food: sausage, beans, dried fruit, hash brown chunks, breads, eggs and even mushrooms. Ardent vegetarian Paul McCartney is not portrayed with any animal products. The work honors the Beatles on the 50th anniversary of the "Love Me Do" single, recorded just feet away from that famous crossing at the Abbey Road studio.
