There's a fascinating high tech angle to Elton John's upcoming Anaheim, California concert that will be simulcast in theaters around the world.

Robin Leach, in his Las Vegas Sun column, says Elton's January 25th performance on the Yamaha Disklavier reproducing piano will be streamed over the Internet to remote Disklaviers -- which will then re-produce his keystrokes in real time on each of the “remote” instruments. The California orchestra will be seen and heard on adjacent monitors in sync with the remote piano performances. In effect, Elton will be playing 70 instruments live at the same time.
