TED NUGENT: No Threat

Ted Nugent met with two Secret Service agents last night (Thursday) backstage prior to his show in Ardmore, Oklahoma. They wanted to speak to him following disparaging comments he made about President Obama and the administration on Saturday at the National Rifle Association meetings in St. Louis.

Included in his rant Saturday was that if Obama is re-elected in November he will "either be dead or in jail by this time next year." The two agents concluded that Nugent is only a threat to decorum, not the President. Agent Brian Leary says, "The issue has been resolved" and the agency "does not anticipate any further action."

Nugent also issued a statement saying he did not threaten Obama and adding that "metaphors needn't be explained to educated people." Nugent has dates this weekend in Winnie, Texas tonight (Friday), Grand Prairie, Texas on Saturday and Mescalero, New Mexico on Sunday.
