BOB DYLAN: Like a Baby Grand

Bob Dylan plays a baby grand piano in concert for the first time in decades.

If you've been to a Bob Dylan concert over the last 10 or so years, then you know that he doesn't play the guitar as much as he reportedly has tendinitis. Instead, you will find him either front and center with a microphone and harmonica or behind an electric piano. On Saturday in England, at the start of his European tour, he took it up a notch as he played a baby grand piano on eight songs, including "Like a Rolling Stone" "All Along the Watchtower" and "Highway 61 Revisited." When asked when the last time Dylan played a non-electric piano on stage, a source close to his Bob-ness told us, "It's got to be decades." We did some investigating and discovered that he did play some piano during his 1989 U.S. fall tour. Dylan is in Berlin, Germany tonight (Monday) and Dresden, Germany tomorrow (Tuesday).
