OZZY: His Brood Came Into Your House 10 Years Ago Today

The Osbournes, one of the first celebrity-based reality shows, debuted on MTV on this day in 2002. Following the hi-jinks of Ozzy, Sharon and two of their three kids, Jack and Kelly, the show elevated the family to international stardom, while many felt it cast Ozzy in a bad light as a stuttering, stammering, drug and alcohol ingesting individual who could do nothing without the help of Sharon. While all the profanity was censored by MTV, it was loud and clear in Canada, the U.K. and Australia.

The show ran for three years and at the end Ozzy admitted that he was "stoned during the entire filming of The Osbournes." He later said, "It was like an experiment that went wildly out of control..." The show launched Sharon's TV career. She is currently seen on two shows -- The Talk and America's Got Talent.
