AEROSMITH: Thumbs Up From May

Brian May got to hear some of Aerosmith's upcoming album last week when Queen performed on American Idol, on which Steven Tyler is a judge. May writes on his website, "We enjoyed some great music. [It's] amazing. They sound like 25-year-olds." May says Tyler is "one of the greatest singers and frontmen in the world ever...in perhaps the quintessential rock band of our generation... He is also a good soul." Queen and Aerosmith were both part of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's class of 2001.

Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton says the album's first single, "Legendary Child," will be out in three weeks, followed by "one or two more until the full album in September." They're filming a video for "Legendary Child" this week in L.A.
