AEROSMITH: The Wait Ends Tonight

Steven Tyler will join Aerosmith on stage on tonight's season finale of American Idol. They'll premiere "Legendary Child," off their still-untitled album, which will be out in the fall. It's their first new song in six years and will hit the airwaves shortly after tonight's telecast. Actually, it isn't exactly new -- the guys wrote it in 1992 during the sessions for the Get a Grip album.

Aerosmith recently filmed a video for "Legendary Child" in Los Angeles, and the song will be featured in GI Joe: Retaliation, in theaters June 29th.

Aerosmith last released new music in 2006, when "Sedona Sunrise" and "Devil's Got a New Disguise" appeared on Devil's Got a New Disguise: The Very Best of Aerosmith. Their last album of original material was 2001's Just Push Play.
