BLACK SABBATH: Iommi Done with Chemo |
|
Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi says he has finished treatment for early stages of lymphoma. Writing on his website he says, "I've had the last dose of chemotherapy, so hopefully my body will start to get back to normal soon. The steroids were the [worst]. I've now got three weeks of radiotherapy coming up which I'm told can be very tiring, so we'll see." He says despite the treatments, he, Ozzy Osbourne and Geezer Butler "managed to work most days and have some great new tracks" for the original Sabbath's first studio album in 33 years. However, because of the treatments, Sabbath has put their reunion tour on hold with the exception of one U.K. date, June 10th at the Download Festival in Derby, England, and one possible U.S. date in August. |
