ROGER WATERS: Build It and They Will Come
Roger Waters' tour of The Wall is the top-grossing tour for the first half of the year.
Roger Waters' tour of Pink Floyd's The Wall is the top-grossing tour for the first half of 2012, with 1.4-million tickets sold for a gross of $158-million. That's according to concert industry publication Pollstar.
Bruce Springsteen is second, with just under $80-million. Since Waters' tour ends this month and Springsteen's continues, he could end up with the year's biggest tour when all is said and done. Madonna is third with $42-million.
Waters is down to the last two shows on his Wall tour for this year -- tomorrow (Saturday) in Philadelphia and July 21st in Quebec. Springsteen is in London on Saturday.
