PROCOL HARUM: Brooker Hurt in Fall

Procol Harum canceled the rest of the dates on their South African tour after singer-keyboardist Gary Brooker was injured in a fall Tuesday night in Cape Town.

Details about what happened to Brooker are scarce, but the Johannesburg Times reports he's in serious but stable condition at a local hospital. The promoter of the band's tour issued a statement saying, "Our thoughts are with Gary and the band during this difficult time. We are confident that he is receiving the very best medical attention and we wish him a speedy recovery."
