ERIC CLAPTON: Leading All-Star Tribute

Eric Clapton will headline an all-star tribute to blues guitarist Hubert Sumlin, who passed away on December 4th at age 80. Joining Clapton at New York's Apollo Theatre on February 24th will be Jeff Beck, Derek Trucks, Keb Mo, Doyle Bramhall, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Dr. John, Levon Helm and many others.

Clapton, Levon and Keith Richards were among the artists who played on Sumlin's last album, About Them Shoes, in 2006. Sumlin, who rose to fame as Howlin' Wolf's guitarist, appeared at all three of Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festivals.

Richards and Mick Jagger paid for Sumlin's funeral.
