VAN HALEN: So Why Are They Kool Every Night?

Van Halen fans are getting a very different opening act on the band's latest tour -- 70s and 80s funk-hit makers Kool and the Gang. The band's co-founder Robert "Kool" Bell says the connection was made after David Lee Roth was impressed by their set at the Glastonbury Festival in England. -- Roth later told Bell, "You guys wrote 'Ladies Night,' and you 'Celebrate' and we 'Jump!' [So], why not?"

Van Halen's tour stops in Montreal, Canada tomorrow night.
