Chalk up Hamburg, Germany's Beatlemania museum as another victim of the tough economic times. It closed for good last Sunday after drawing just 150,000 visitors in its three years of operation. That's a skimpy return for the estimated $40 million invested by its backers. Running out of funds during June, execs even asked Paul McCartney for donation to keep the doors open. But despite the sentimental pull of a shrine in the city where The Beatles honed their skills in the early 1960s, he didn't respond.
