BOSTON: Will It Be Worth the Wait?

Boston singer Tommy DeCarlo on the band's next album.

Although the next Boston album is not completed, Tommy DeCarlo, the Home Depot employee turned band's singer, says what he has heard is "fantastic," adding that he's "with all the fans -- I’m excited to hear it myself. Let’s keep our fingers crossed."

Band leader and guitarist Tom Scholz discovered DeCarlo's tribute to Boston's late singer Brad Delp on YouTube and hired him for their next tour. As for when we might hear the new album, their first since 2002′s Corporate America, DeCarlo says, "Unfortunately I don’t have a time frame on that. Tom’s quite a perfectionist when it comes to his sound and his music. It’s not always done in a timely fashion."

Boston is on the road this summer with a shows in Hammond, Indiana tonight (Thursday), Milwaukee on Friday and Morton, Minnesota on Saturday.
