LEVON HELM: Wake Is Tomorrow |

A public wake will be held for Levon Helm tomorrow at the place where he held his Midnight Ramble shows most Saturday nights -- his home studio in Woodstock, New York. It will be held between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. ET. If you wish to attend, you won't be able to park on the property. Parking will be available at three locations in Woodstock -- The Woodstock Playhouse at 103 Mill Hill Road, Cucina Woodstock at 109 Mill Hill Road and Andy Lee Field on Rock City Road -- and buses will run continuously between the Playhouse and the Field. There's still no official word about a New Orleans-style funeral procession through the streets of Woodstock on Friday. Levon will be buried in Woodstock Cemetery next to Rick Danko, The Band's singer and bassist, who died in 1999. Levon died last Thursday from cancer. He was 71. Source: LevonHelm.com |
