JOURNEY: Will Schon's Wedding Be Cheesy or Spiritual?
Get ready, this Sunday is when Journey guitarist Neal Schon and his reality actress fiancé, Michaele Salahi, will exchange their wedding vows, and don't forget, you are invited. Dubbed the Winter Wonderland Wedding and Music Event, it will be televised live on pay-per-view from the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, the first time a wedding has been held at this historic location. This is also the first time that a wedding event will be carried live and unedited on pay-per-view.
Schon says the event will not be "cheesy" and can't understand why people are ripping him for having it broadcast. He says, "I've got a full on symphony, I've got gospel choirs -- it will be spiritual... Journey will play as well... And then we got Tower of Power. It doesn't get funkier than that. It's turned into a bigger wedding event and it's going to be a great evening for us." Carlos Santana will also be on hand to serve as Schon's best man.
More than 400 people will be in attendance. This will be Schon's fifth marriage and Michaele's second. It gets underway Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on pay-per-view and part of the proceeds will go to the victims of the recent typhoons in the Philippines, home of Journey singer Arnel Pineda.
