Wedding Singer?

Amazon executive hires Tom Petty to play at his wedding, but not after jumping through hoops.

If Tom Petty should ever find himself down on his luck, he always has something to fall back on -- performing at weddings. Petty and his Heartbreakers were the house band at the July wedding in Seattle for Amazon executives Brian Valentine and Gianna Puerini, who got engaged at Petty's 2010 Seattle show.

But getting Petty was not so easy. Valentine first plunked down a $165,000 deposit to Chris Lund of Lund Live, which promised he could deliver Petty. But when he could no longer get in touch with Lund he called Petty's manager, who had no knowledge of the transaction. Valentine then called the FBI and Lund was arrested, and apparently a deal was struck with Petty's manager as he delivered his client to the wedding. Lund is due in court today (Monday). No word on how much Petty was paid for his services.
