BLACK SABBATH: So Who's Drumming This Weekend?

Black Sabbath will play in their hometown of Birmingham, England on Saturday, but we don't know who'll be manning the drumkit. Bill Ward announced earlier this week that he wouldn't be taking part in the three shows the band booked for this summer. And yesterday (Thursday), Sabbath issued a statement saying, "There are two sides to every story. We have been working hard at rehearsals making excellent progress after Tony [Iommi's cancer] treatments, and we have engaged a substitute drummer for the forthcoming show." A logical replacement, Heaven and Hell's Vinny Appice, has said he won't have anything to do with the Sabbath shows.

Saturday's gig is Sabbath's first show there in more than 13 years. Part of the proceeds will go to Help for Heroes, a charity helping wounded British soldiers.
