AC/DC: Many Highways to Wine
The line of AC/DC wine has made its way from their native Australia to the U.S.
The line of AC/DC wine has made its way from their native Australia to the U.S. More than 50,000 cases have been sold Down Under since its release last year, and the wines are now available here at VinPort.com, with retail sales to follow shortly. Peter Jackson of Winestate Wine Marketing and Promotions, which reviewed the wine last year, says, "With over 10,000 wines judged every year, more than 60 percent of wines submitted are not recommended. The new AC/DC wine label is not only very clever marketing, it's actually quite a very good wine!"
AC/DC The Wine is available in Back in Black Shiraz, Highway to Hell Cabernet Sauvignon, Thunderstruck Chardonnay and Hells Bells Sauvignon Blanc. A fifth varietal, You Shook Me All Night Long Moscato, will be available soon. Each bottle retails for $17.99.
Other artists with their own lines of alcoholic beverages include Sammy Hagar, Jimmy Buffett, Vince Neil, John Lodge of The Moody Blues, KISS, The Rolling Stones, Jerry Garcia and Mick Fleetwood.
