ROLLING STONES: Woody Denies Studio Report (audio)

Ronnie Wood is denying an Associated Press report that had him saying The Rolling Stones were going into a studio this month. He says, "There's no truth in that. Mick [Jagger] would kill me if I ever said that... All I can say is that I would love us to go into the studio and I would love us to do a tour... But there are no plans."

Woody is in Faces mode because his pre-Stones band will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday in Cleveland. Tonight, he and fellow Faces Ian McLagan and Kenney Jones will appear at a party in New York to celebrate the launch of a book about the group, Faces 1969-75. The event will take place at the John Varvatos store located in the old CBGB space.
