Wednesday, June 27th is PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) Awareness Day and Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen has teamed up with John Roberts of the Wounded Warrior Project to get the message out.

Wednesday, June 27th is PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) Awareness Day and Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen has teamed up with John Roberts of the Wounded Warrior Project to get the message out. The two are kicking of a campaign called The Rockstar and the Warrior that will unite Allen's pet charity, the Raven Drum Foundation's Veteran Resiliency Project, and the Wounded Warrior Project for four summer gatherings near Def Leppard tour stops.

Allen and Roberts will share stories about their personal experiences and trauma after being injured -- and the path to recovery and healing -- in Baltimore on July 10th, Chicago on July 19th, Boston on August 17th and Houston on September 1st.

Allen has also been raising money for the Veterans Resiliency Project by offering select packages that include a Drum Sound Check Party, special ticketing in the first three rows and quality time backstage with Rick. These will take place at upcoming Leppard shows in Nashville July 3rd, Newark, New Jersey July 11th and Austin, Texas on September 4th.
