DAVID BOWIE: Ziggy Honor |
|
23 Heddon Street in London, where David Bowie created his alter-ego "Ziggy Stardust" four decades ago, is getting a commemorative plaque from the town's Westminster section. Bowie is seen standing outside that address on the album cover for The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars. Normally, such plaques are green, but because Bowie is still alive, this one will be a different color. The plaque will be unveiled on March 27th. Bowie will re-issue "Starman," his 1972 single off of the Ziggy album, on April 21st in celebration of Record Store Day. The single's B-side features the song performed live on Top of the Pops.
