Greetings!  

Looks like the summer temps are back, the time of year where early mornings are the norm. (In my house anyway)  To me the best time of the day is just when the sun  rises.  There is a sense of peace at that time before the business of the day kicks in.  Obviously a great time to get out in nature and enjoy the beauty of the desert...and to take out the four legged kids for a stroll before the scorching pavement burns a hole in the bottom of their paws.  Remember to bring lots of water for you and the pooches!  Dehydration and heat stroke can come on fast!  Also, be aware of your surroundings regarding snakes, etc.

Camelback mountains Echo Canyon trailhead is now closed until sometime this fall. There will be a redesign plus the addition of more parking spaces as well as much needed trail maintanence on that side of the mountain.  It looks as though it will be gated off, so no access. Howver, the Cholla side remains ..open.  This trail see's over 400,000 visitiors per year and if you frequent the area, you know how hard it is to find parking..hopefully the improvements will help.
