PINK Floyd legend David Gilmour’s family evacuated their £3million seaside mansion yesterday in a bomb scare.
A German WW2 device was found during work on the six-storey house the Dark Side of the Moon guitarist, 66, is renovating.
A Navy disposal team declared it safe and removed it in Hove, East Sussex.
Gilmour’s wife Polly Samson, 50, tweeted: “They’ve found a bomb under our building site!
“We think it’s a bit of old pipe but MoD on their way.”
Writer Polly added: “They’ve taken away our bomb. Incendiary but missing bit that makes it go bang.”
