With Houston's loss at Miami Sunday, there are two teams remaining in the hunt for the West's No. 8 seed, two games remaining for each team and two scenarios for the Suns to reach the playoffs.
The Suns must win Tuesday night at Utah, who leads them by a game but would lose a tiebreaker, for either scenario to play out:
1. If the Suns win Tuesday at Utah and Wednesday at home against San Antonio, they will qualify for the playoffs.
2. If the Suns win Tuesday at Utah and lose Wednesday at home against San Antonio, they can still qualify for the playoffs if Utah loses at home Thursday against Portland.
