Forbes list of the 400 Richest Americansincludes the owners of the 15 of the 32 National Football League teams. That’s almost half of the league.
There are a few baseball and basketball owners on the Forbes list. That includes Phoenician Artie Moreno, who owns the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Detroit Tigers and Red Wings owner Mike Ilitch are also on the list.
But the $9 billion NFL is the sport with the most billionaires, according to Forbes.
Seattle Seahawks owner Paul Allen is the richest of that bunch. Allen comes in at No. 20 on the rich list and is worth $15 billion. Allen was a Microsoft Inc. co-founder. He also owns the Portland Trailblazers.
The poorest souls on the Forbes 400 list are worth $1.1 billion. Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder and San Francisco 49ers chairwoman Denise DeBartolo York are in that group.

Jones is worth $2.7 billion and ranks as the 151st richest American, according to Forbes. The magazine also lists his Cowboys as the most valuable U.S. sports team at $2.1 billion.
