The twisted minds of horror designed a 3-D world of mazes and Scare Zones

If you’re a fan of the horror genre or just looking for a terrifying evening to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve, Universal City kicks off the annual “Halloween Horror Nights” on September 21 with the Eyegore Awards, hosted by SyFy’s “Face Off”, honoring those making an impact on most freakishly scary moments in the horror field and Hollywood Today will be covering it.

Emcee and host of “Face Off”, McKenzie Westmore, brings the sickest minds in the industry with special guests this year including Alice Cooper, Chad Michael Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Sid Haig and Bill Mosely.

The Universal HHN continues through October 31 showcasing the interactive, fantastic and disturbing creatures designed to scare the pants off you. The special effects team of mastermind and Extreme Hollywood horror make-up artist, Larry Bones partnered up with Creative Director, John Murdy to bring an incredibly spooky event to life (and death), night after night.

The different experiences are based on award winning horror films and include the popular “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure”, as well as the theme park rides, “Transformers™: The Ride –3D,” “Jurassic Park® In the Dark,” “The Simpsons RideTM” and “Revenge of the MummySM – The Ride.”

“Welcome to Silent Hill,” based on the popular video games and film franchise; “Alice Cooper Goes to Hell 3D,” a new 3D maze, “La Llorona: Cazadora de Niños,” based on the terrifying Hispanic genre; the always popular classic “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Saw is The Law,” a maze based on Tobe Hooper’s 1974 horror film.

The twisted minds of horror designed a 3-D world of mazes and Scare Zones at the Universal Studios lot, home to the Psycho House and other significant horror properties. The Terror Tram brings guests on a back lot tour but you’ll have to watch out for the flesh-eating zombies. Center Stage presents the newest maze of fright, The Walking Dead: Dead Inside.
