 U2: Second Best Halftime Performance

Billboard has weighed in on the best Super Bowl Halftime Shows and their pick is Prince in 2007. His set included “Let’s Go Crazy” and “Purple Rain,” as well as covers of CCR’s “Proud Mary” and Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower.”

U2, who without question turned in the most emotional performance ever as it was the first Bowl after the September 11th terrorist attacks, was second. And the rest of their choices are:

3) Madonna – 2012

4) Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band – 2009

5) Beyoncé – 2013

6) The Rolling Stones – 2006

7) Janet Jackson & Justin Timberlake – 2004 “Wardrobe Malfunction”

8) Paul McCartney – 2005

9) Aerosmith, ‘N Sync, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige and Nelly – 2001

10) Michael Jackson – 1993

Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline this year’s show, Sunday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
