DEF LEPPARD: Joe’s Back in Town
Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott is putting his producer’s hat on as he gets set to go behind the board in the fall for the second album from Black Star Riders, the band formerly known as Thin Lizzy.
Sessions will start in October in Ireland, and Elliott says, “Having worked with [guitarist] Scott [Gorham] on the Thin Lizzy re-mixes a few years ago, and having produced [singer] Ricky [Warwick], I’m looking forward to taking our journey together even further. I’m proud to be able to contribute to the next chapter in BSR history.” And Warwick adds, “Joe’s passion and enthusiasm for music is unquestionable… It was a no-brainer; we’re confident this will be a huge leap in our evolution.”
The plan is to have the album out early next year.
