In a glaring example of just exactly how out of touch with reality the New York City real estate market has become, behold the $300,000 PARKING SPACE! It’s in a Union Street garage in Brooklyn where just a few years ago a space sold for $80,000. Even AFTER you by the space, there is STILL a $240/month MAINTENANCE FEE AND $51 in monthly TAXES! Some say it could be a good investment to flip a few years down the road but when a parking space costs more than SEVERAL cars, it’s time to take a long hard look at reality. But as they say, it’s whatever the market will bear. Seems UNbearable.
