Two Indianapolis men were arrested early Monday after police say they were caught dropping water balloons on a group of undercover officers.
Joshua Hayes, 30, and Brandon Harper, 22, face criminal recklessness charges after their arrest about 1:30 a.m. at a parking garage in the first block of North Pennsylvania Street.
Indianapolis police said a group of plainclothes officers on bicycles were riding in the area when water balloons were hurled in their direction from the sixth floor of the garage, according to a police report.
The officers noticed where the balloons came from, and Hayes and Harper were taken into custody in the parking garage, police said.
None of the officers were injured by the falling balloons.
After the incident, Hayes and Harper were booked into the Marion County Jail. They were no longer in custody as of this afternoon.
