I can understand kids these days being baffled by a rotary phone….but ANALOG CLOCKS?? A study done in Oklahoma City showed that 4 out of 5 kids who own an analog watch DON’T KNOW HOW TO READ IT. The local Boys & Girls Club partnered with Discountwatchstore.com to conduct a survey of kids aged 6-12 in the area. Only 1 in 10 actually owned an analog watch but 80% of them didn’t know how to read it. Apparently in the age of digital clocks, smart phones & tablets this is becoming a lost skill. More than 150 students took the time-telling survey, which featured 15 questions. Only 31 students passed. Only 15 earned perfect scores. I can’t wait until they try & balance a checkbook.
