We all know India is just a tad backwards on a lot of things like, human rights, sanitation & of course environmental regulation. Case in point: the blue dogs of Navi Mumbai. It’s as though Huckleberry Hound’s family moved in to the area & over-bred. But apparently the blue dogs are a result of stray mutts looking for food & jumping into the nearby Kasadi River which is lined with approximately a thousand pharmaceutical, food and engineering factories, some of which dump all kinds of chemicals into the river. In this instance, it’s blue dye from a factory using it for many things including laundry detergent. The company’s been warned but we all know how seriously those warnings are probably taken.
