About - Brian Curit
Brian is an Arizona native who grew up in Tucson before returning to his hometown of Tempe to attend Arizona State University. While in college, Brian got his first break as a mobile DJ performing at weddings, parties and school dances. In 1990 Brian got the opportunity to be the head DJ and sports programmer at America’s Original Sports Bar in the Arizona Center. After three years of working in the Valley’s hottest nightclub, Brian took his show on the road spinning records and doing sound and lights in clubs along the California coast from Newport Beach to Ocean Beach. “One day my best friend from college called me and said, ‘hey, do you want to go to Guam’? I thought why not.”
So Brian took a long vacation to the island of Guam. “Originally I was taking a three week trip but I fell in love with the island and ended up staying almost 10 years.” While living on Guam, Brian hosted and produced several talk radio programs and hosted the morning show for the island’s only rock station. When Brian returned home to The Valley of the Sun, the first place he went was to KSLX. “When I first moved back to Phoenix in 1986, KSLX had just come on the air. It was great to not only hear KSLX still on the air in 2006, but to know that I was part of the team was a dream come true.”
When not on the air, Brian works in promotions for KSLX. Make sure you look for him at the KSLX tent. In his free time Brian plays golf, rides mountain bikes and loves to 4-wheel.
