Valerie moved here recently from Milwaukee.  She started in radio playing classic rock at the legendary WZMF-FM while attending Marquette University.  She has worked at WTMJ, WBCS, WMIL, WMYX, WOKY, and most recently WRIT.  Valerie's resume includes news, commercials, copywriting, air traffic (gasp!), and public television -- but she is excited to be back in classic rock, and loves Phoenix. 
 
Valerie plays classical piano and guitar -- and recently fulfilled the dream of a lifetime by acquiring a RED Gibson Les Paul, which she was thrilled to have autographed by guitar great Kim Simmonds (original guitarist of Savoy Brown).  Her latest passion is Irish dance and music, which she shares with 17-year old daughter Kelsey.  Daughter Skippy is the family "sports nut" and has has worked for both the Milwaukee Brewers and the Arizona Diamondbacks.  Valerie's favorite KSLX Classic Rock group is Jethro Tull - "the ultimate fusion of rock and classical", and her vote for best live concert act is Tom Petty.
